Week 7 Del.icio.us!!

I can definately see myself useing del.icio.us. Being able to access your favourite websites from any computer is a great idea. The tagging and finding websites placed on del.icio.us by other users is fantastic!

Week 6, Video Online

Now this was seriously fun stuff. I had no idea that all this was out there. It does explain how my teenage daughters never seem to have time to finish assignments after going onto YouTube for "only 10 minutes mum, I promise" (is that possible?). I even worked out (with the help of a 'constantly patient princess') how to embed a video, an original version of Sesame Street's "Mana Mana"- what a classic! As for what we could use video on our library blog, I think the possibilities would be endless. I like the idea of book reviews and I think that teenage clients who are so familiar with this kind of communication would really relate to online videos.I might just add that I am not available for any leading roles...

Wiki Week!

This task wasn't as challenging as the last. I can certainly see the merit in using a wiki website.There is so much knowledge out there that hasn't been shared in the past because of limitations with its circulation. Until now! Here we see people of all walks offering their knowledge and experiences to all who are interested - and it's up to date!
The book reviews on a library wiki would be useful and interesting...

Week 4 Update

I'm up to Week 4 of the course and well to be honest it's not been an easy exercise. I've managed to open a blogline account and have saved 8 feeds including the Powerhouse Museum as required. I did stumble blindly and I must say that finding the list saved at the end was a complete surprise to me. I don't know how much of this I will remember or use again but it's done! It has taken alot longer to do than I thought it would and I think I would have understood it better if I had someone in the know sitting next to me. Anyway I will persevere...
